Beverly Colvin - 1942-2010
Beverly Sue Colvin passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 21, 2010 in Oakmont Manor with her sisters by her side.
Beverly was born July 22, 1942, in Ashland, Ky., to Dorce and Helen Maynard Colvin, who preceded her in death.
Beverly was a 1960 graduate of Thomas R. Brown High School. She attended Morehead State University and was former secretary at Catlettsburg High School and Yost Elementary. She was a member of West Catlettsburg United Methodist Church.
Beverly is survived by two sisters, Doris Lynn Payne and Glorious Hensley (Roger), both of Catlettsburg; nephews, Greg Payne II (Stephanie) of Catlettsburg and Errin Hensley (Kimberly) of Ashland; great-nieces, Jordon Hensley, Megan Hensley, Stacia Shelly and Sarah Mann; great-nephews, Gregory Payne III and Josh Shelly; and a special uncle, Fred Maynard and his wife Phyllis of Catlettsburg.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg with Rev. Charles Allen officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Catlettsburg United Methodist Church, 208 10th Street, Catlettsburg, KY 41129.
