Bill Marshall

April 16, 1926 — November 1, 2010

Bill Marshall, 84, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at his home.

Mr. Marshall was born April 16, 1926, in Scioto County, Ohio, a son of the late Sam Marshall and Sarah DeHart Rowley. Bill was co-owner of Tax-Wize for 28 years and a service technician for Sears for 30 years. He was a member of North East KY Fish & Game, League of KY Sportsmen, Sears Retirees and First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing (especially Middle Bass, Lake Erie chasing the walleye and perch) and decorating his home for holidays.

Left behind are Bill's adoring wife of 49 years, Martha Nolen Marshall; two sons, Denvil Kim Marshall of Lexington, Ky., and William Keith Mills (Toni) of Georgetown, Ky.; two daughters, Katherine Leann Marshall of Ashland, Ky., and Connie (Mills) Wooten of Nicholasville, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Lori Wooten, Kristin Wooten Maggard (Brad), Hannah Mills, Rowley Marshall, Chad Marshall (Winter Williams), Joshua Marshall and Collin Mills; a special niece, Janet (Kletis) Kelly of Walsh, Colo.; and special fishing and hunting buddies of many years, Bill Skaggs and Kenny Downs. He will be greatly missed by many dear friends and extended family too numerous to mention by name.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, Nov. 4, 2010, at First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg. Pastor Stan Williams and Pastor Richard "Butch" Kiger will bring words of comfort and inspiration. Final rest will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.

Visitation will be an hour before services at the church.

Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg is in charge of arrangements.
