Billy R. Barrett, 52, of Ashland, passed away around 5 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

Mr. Barrett was born Aug. 13, 1959, in Ashland, a son of the late Marion and Betty Dalton-Barrett.

Billy was the owner of BBC Auto Detailing for several years in Ashland before becoming ill in the late 1990s. Some of his passions included cars, antiquing and UK basketball, but his real passions were his faith and his family.

He and his loving wife, Cheryl Ann West-Barrett, 53, would have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary next month. Their only child, Rebekah Brooke Barrett ("Daddy's girl"), 25, resides in Hurricane, W.Va. Also living are a brother, Daniel Paul "Danny" Barrett of Ashland, and sisters Linda Barrett-King of Waverly, Ohio, and Frances Arlene "Teen" Barrett-Graves of Ashland. He is also mourned by his loving mother-in-law and father-in-law, Buck and Evelyn West; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Along with Billy's parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Henry Allen Barrett, Marion "June" Barrett Jr. and Charles Roscoe "Chuck" Barrett; and sisters Joyce Ann Barrett-Short, Carolyn Sue "Sue" Barrett-Meeks and Elizabeth Ellen "Libby" Barrett-Fenneey.

Funeral services for Mr. Barrett will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. The Rev. Mike Blanton will officiate and the Rev. Mike Roberts will assist. His final resting place will be Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.

Visiting hours will be after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
