Charles Withrow Sr

Charles Thomas "Tom" Withrow, Sr, 70 of Flatwoods, formerly of Ashland passed away Friday November 24, 2017 at his home, his loving family at his side.
Mr. Withrow was born February 24, 1947 in East Bank, WV to the Thelma Hicks Withrow McDowell and Charles Withrow. Tom honorably served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam War and retired as a Marine Mechanic. His hobbies included golf, fishing, and spending time with loved ones; he was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his adoring wife of 20 years Carolyn E. Clark Withrow, children, Charles T. Withrow, Jr, his wife Amanda, of Ashland, David L. Withrow of Flatwoods, KY, Brian K. Withrow of Russell, KY, Amanda K. Lewis, her husband Ronnie, of Southport, NC, Brenda E. Postlewaite of Ceadar Grove, WV, and Brandon A. Postlewaite of Ceader Grove, WV., 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Additional survivors include brother Buddy McCarty (Gloria) of Lakewood, OH, sisters Brenda Pitchford (Tom) of Social Circle, GA, and Jewell Skaggs (Danny) of Columbus, OH., and mother-in-law Marion J. Clark.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ernest McCarty, and sisters Fay Breeden and Evelyn Buttrick.
Funeral Service for Mr. Withrow will be at 11:00am Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Chaplain Jim Smedley will officiate. Final resting place in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Military Honors by Post 93 of Kenova, WV and the US Army. Visiting hours are 6:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday evening at the Funeral home.
