Charley Robinette (1916-2008)
Charley Franklin Robinette, 91, a resident of Ashland, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2008, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. He was born July 3, 1916, in Ashland, a son of the late Rufus and Eria Arthur Robinette.
Charley was married to Mary Helen Mills in Ironton, Ohio, on April 14, 1937, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 1979. He was a lab technician for Ashland Oil for many years and retired in 1982. He was a graduate of Catlettsburg High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served during World War II.
Survivors include three children, David Robinette of Ashland, Charles Kenneth Robinette of Catlettsburg and Phyllis Ann Ramsey of Okemos, Mich.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be at a later date.
Charley will be interred in the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
