Doris Jean Chaffin, 64, of Catlettsburg, went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 11, 2014, at Kings Daughters Medical Center, with her family at her side.
Doris Jean was born December 17, 1949, in Ashland, KY, a daughter of Wilburn and Verna Mae Allen Chaffin of Catlettsburg. She enjoyed family get togethers, especially holidays and was a member of Ashland Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle.
Surviving are her parents, brothers, Donald (Darlene) Chaffin of Ashland and Charles (Neva) Chaffin of Catlettsburg, sisters, Maria (Gary) West of Catlettsburg, Ruth (Mark) Stevens of Ashland and Sharon (Junior) Smith of Catlettsburg, close friend Bobby Cordle and her wonderful Church family.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Monday July 14, 2014 at Ashland Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle, 2950 Carter Ave., Ashland, KY. Pastor Ron Evans and Bro.Tommy Romans will officiate. Final resting place in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time on Monday at the Tabernacle.
