Dorothy "Lorraine" Pinkerton Wallin - 1926-2008
Dorothy "Lorraine" Pinkerton Wallin, 82, of Ashland, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born May 15, 1926, in Nolen, W.Va., the daughter of the late William G. and Olia Bailey Pinkerton.
She was a retired cook at Woolco Department Store and the Hatcher Elementary School cafeteria. She was a member of Beech Street Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Pinkerton.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Bill B. Wallin; a son, Tim Wallin and wife Tammy of Ashland; two sisters, Betty Spry and husband Reece of Ashland and Marcella Reagan and husband Hosier of Jamestown, Tenn.; a brother, James Pinkerton and wife Anna of Blaine, Ky.; six grandchildren, Dean Wallin and wife Mandy of Georgetown, Ky., Kyle Wallin, Jordan Wallin, Rhiannon Wallin, Alyssa Sparks and B.J. Cline, all of Ashland; 11 nieces and nephews, Cheri Hunt, Jean Stumbo, Rhonda Gannon, Robin Burd, Kathy Barker, Mike Pinkerton, Deana Pinkerton, Sheila Pinkerton, Sandy Boggs, Barbara Shippey and Debbie Pinkerton; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by Pastor Kenneth Vaughn. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Church, Bill Lucas, Jim Piercy, Chris Spears, Scott Perkins and Tom Robinson.
