Ella Grizzle (1926-2009)
Ella Louise Bradley Grizzle, 82, of Westwood, wife of Bill Grizzle, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Ella was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Catlettsburg, Ky., a daughter of the late Bill and Anna O'Brien Bradley. She was a member of Westwood Enterprise Baptist Church and Westwood Chapter 569 Order of Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Bradley and Frank "Tom" Bradley, and a sister, Freda "Buck" Scott.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ernest William "Bill" Grizzle of Westwood; two sons, Robert Grizzle and his wife, Sherrie, of Winchester, Ky., and Larry Grizzle and his wife, Pam, of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Sharon Stephens and her husband, Raymond, of Westwood; three brothers, Jack Bradley of Indianapolis, Ind., Roy Bradley of West Covina, Calif., and Charles Davenport of Flatwoods, Ky.; five grandchildren, Christopher Stephens, Raymond Howard "Buddy" Stephens III, Jason Grizzle, Jenna Lee Grizzle and Clarissa Nicole Grizzle; and two great-grandchildren, Carter Stephens and Hunter Stephens.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by the Rev. Raymond Stephens. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland. Eastern Star services will be conducted by officers and members of Westwood Chapter 569 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
