Ellen Caudill (1958-2010)
Ellen Caudill, 51, wife of Greg Caudill of Ashland, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 following an extended illness.
Ellen was born Oct. 20, 1958, in Beckley, W.Va., to Mary Ellen Miller Ballard of Westwood and Oscar Ballard of Danville, Ky. She was a manager at Elder Beerman and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Sparks.
Survivors include her husband, Gregory Keith Caudill of Ashland; a son, Phillip Caudill and his wife Kathy of Ashland; a daughter, Stephanie Auxier and her husband Nick of Mount Sterling, Ky.; two granddaughters, Caroline and Eleanor Caudill; her mother, Mary Ellen Ballard of Westwood and her father Oscar Ballard of Danville; a brother Alan (Sarah) Ballard of Westwood; her mother-in-law, Phyllis Caudill Eppenstein of Ashland; and a very special friend, Chuck Shubert of Westwood.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today, April 3, 2010 at Fairview Baptist Church by the Rev. Mike Rice. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Friends may call at 11 a.m. today at the church.
Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood is in charge of arrangements.
