ASHLAND - Elwanda J. Dalton Adkins, 75, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday at her residence. She was born Nov. 16, 1935, in Boyd County, Ky., to the late Roscoe Dalton and Mary Ellen Browning. Her husband, Lewis Prichard Adkins, preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and attended Christian Faith Outreach.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arley Dalton; and a sister, Betty Barrett.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Collier of Ashland, Ky. and Tim Dalton of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a daughter, Brenda Gail (Jeff) Payne of Westwood, Ky.; six grandchildren, Katie and John Payne, Brandon Hicks, Josh and Jason Collier and Tina Downs; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland by Brother Steven Stapleton. Interment will be in Golden Oaks Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
