Emma Katelyn Sias - 2004-2010
Emma Katelyn Sias, 5, of Huntington, W.Va., went to meet Jesus on Monday, March 22, 2010.
Emma was born Oct. 21, 2004, in Huntington. She was the daughter of Angela Ball Sias, also of Huntington, and Thomas Sias of Richland, Ind.
She is also survived by grandparents "Nanny and Papaw," Earl and Patricia Ball of Huntington, and "Mammaw and Ray," Sherry Lyell and the late Raymond Hicks Lyell of Barboursville, W.Va.; her big sister, Adi Sias of Barboursville; maternal aunt Stephanie (Barry) Meade; paternal uncle "Uncle Bub" Jamey (Jill) Sias; paternal aunt Maggie (Heath) Wolfe; her special cousins, Caleb, Hannah and Elizabeth Meade, Gavin, Meagan and Luke Sias and "Baby Nathan," Nathan Wolfe; special friends Christy Sias and Tyler and Kelsea Morns; her teachers, Miss Melissa and Mrs. Anna, and preschool class of Ceredo Playmates; countless "friends" she made along her way; and a special neighbor, Bill Fulton.
I would like to thank Papaw, the EMS and all the staff of Cabell Huntington Hospital who intervened on our behalf. I know you tried and she tried, too. She would have come back if she could.
Thank you, my friends at Burnaugh Baptist Church. Emma knew Jesus loved her because of all of you. Thank you to my friends and all the staff of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. Your love and support are so special to me. To all who met Emma, thank you for seeing the joy she brought and the love she had for everyone. Thank you, God, for letting me be her mommy. Every day was a gift.
A funeral service to honor the life of Emma Katelyn Sias will be at noon Friday, March 26, 2010, at Burnaugh Baptist Church, 29675 Mayo Trail Road, Cannonsburg, Ky. Pastor Pete Miller, the Rev. Rick Brown and Assistant Pastor David Keer will offer comforting words to family and friends.
Final rest will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and an hour before services Friday at the church.
