Frances Crislip - 1956-2008
Heaven rejoiced as Frances Crislip stood face to face with our Savior following her passing on Thursday morning, Sept. 18, 2008, in Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.
Ms. Crislip was 52 years of age, born July 2, 1956, in Huntington, a daughter of Elsie Mae Miller Crislip of Catlettsburg and the late Cecil Crislip Sr. Frances was a former clerk at Hart's in Ashland and presently employed at Wal-Mart in Burlington, Ohio. She was a devoted and faithful member of Southside Church of the Nazarene, where she was a Sunday school teacher and treasurer for more than 20 years.
Sadly left behind is her family - two brothers, Dannie (Jewell) Crislip of Catlettsburg and Cecil Jr. (Ramona) Crislip of Ashland; a sister, Catherine "Cathy" Annette Daniels of Ashland; her nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own children - four nephews, Dannie Ray (Melissa) Crislip, Arthur Jr. (Alaisha) Daniels, Seth (Elizabeth Ann) Crislip and Andrew Daniels and a niece, Shawn Marie Ramey; two great-nephews, Gavin Daniels and Kais Daniels; five great-nieces, Ashley Rakes, Faith Crislip, Ariana Daniels, Makayla Daniels and Mikalyn Miriah Crislip Ramey; and a host of friends and church family who mourn their loss, but are joyful in her homecoming.
A funeral service in remembrance of Frances will be at 1 p.m. today, Sept. 20, 2008, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. A message of comfort will be offered by Pastor Jim Webster. Final rest will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, Ky.
Those wishing to call on the Crislip family may do so an hour before services at the funeral home.
Frances' family graciously requests that in lieu of floral tributes contributions in her honor be made to the Southside Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 426 36th St., Catlettsburg, KY 41129.
