Germaine Lee Reliford, 68, of Westwood, departed this life on Oct. 9, 2012, at her residence to be with her Heavenly Father after losing her long battle with breast cancer.
She was born July 14, 1944, in Ashland, the daughter of the late Edward and Virginia Walters Lemaster.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a loyal and devoted Christian and was a longtime member of East Fork United Baptist Church. She was a 1962 honor graduate of Ashland High School and worked off and on for years as a secretary for Ashland Inc.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Yvonne Patterson.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 47 years, Paul Reliford of Westwood; two sons she absolutely adored, Christopher Paul (Donna) Reliford of Blythewood, S.C., and Glenn Edward Reliford of Morrow, Ohio; a brother, Terry (Brenda) Lemaster of Somerset; and a brother-in-law, Cecil Patterson of Holly Pond, Ala. She is also survived by the pride of her life, her five loving grandchildren, Tanner, Logan, Kendale, Tristan and Shelby Reliford.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by Elder David Trimble. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to East Fork United Baptist Church, c/o treasurer George Burgess, 2140 Mantz St., Ashland, KY 41101.
