James "Jim" Preston, 72, of Ashland, died Monday at his residence.
He was born Aug. 15, 1939, in Boyd County.
His wife, Virginia Spradlin Preston, preceded him in death.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
