Jeffrey A. Russell (1960-2008)
Jeffrey A. Russell, 47, of Ashland, Ky., formerly of Whetstone Road, Greenup, Ky., passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008 at his home.
Mr. Russell was born Dec. 10, 1960, in Russell, Ky., a son of the late Charles and Evelyn Melvin Russell.
He was a United States Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Nelson Russell; one son, Eric Russell of Ashland; three brothers, Mike (Emily) Russell of Texas, David (Mossie) Russell of Wurtland, Ky., and Keith (Terri) Russell of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Linda (Ed) Morley of Amsterdam, Ohio, and Patty (Roger) Hilton and Sovona (Tracy Curtis) Smallridge, both of Florida; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets and companions, Taz and Pixie.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Christopher Russell; and one brother, Denny Russell.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Dr. Tom Melvin. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland. Visitiation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before the funeral on Thursday at the funeral home. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Greenup County High School Marine Corp Junior ROTC.
