JoAnn Barber

Jo Ann Miles Barber, 66, a lifelong resident of Catlettsburg and a dedicated servant to her Lord and Savior, passed away Saturday afternoon, Oct. 2, 2010, in King's Daughters Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 13, 1943, in Catlettsburg, the daughter of the late Denver and Hazel Triplett Miles. Jo Ann served the Lord through her service to others, especially children. She attended Ironville Independent Baptist Church.

Jo Ann leaves behind her loving husband of 28 years, Harold R. Barber; a brother, Jim Ray Miles and his wife, Shirley, of Catlettsburg; nephews Tim Miles and Dave Miles; and a niece, Jamie Kouns.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Glen Miles.

Funeral services celebrating her homegoing will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg. Pastor Perry Young will bring a message of inspiration. Final rest will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
