Juanita H. Songer, 87, of Ashland, died Thursday, July 23, 2009, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Songer was born May 25, 1922, in Logan, W.Va., a daughter of the late Carl and Ava Browning Hall.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edwin Songer, who died in 2000; and a daughter, Jane C. Songer, who died in 2006.
She was a devoted homemaker and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a member of United Methodist Women.
Surviving are a son, John Songer, and his wife, Teresa, of Bardstown, and a host of loving family members and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Tom Reynolds, Pastor Rob Jordan and Pastor Troy Poff officiating. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
