ASHLAND - Kathy I. Mullins Maynard Hill, 63, of Ashland, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at home after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy was born Sept. 2, 1949, in Ashland, to the late William B. and Victoria Ramey Mullins. Kathy retired from Goodwill Industries after 25 years of service at the Carl Perkins Federal Building in Ashland.
Kathy was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Jean Maynard; a sister, Deorlene Tackett; and a brother, Clarence Ray Mullins.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Harold D. Hill Sr.; six children and their spouses, Mark (Kelly) Maynard, Melissa (Quinton) Lemaster-Kovaleski, William C. Maynard, Tina (David) Hill-Johnson, Melanie (Larry) Hill Senett and Deanna (Andrew) Hill Ballard; a sister and brother-in-law, Pearlie (Robert) West; eight brothers and their spouses, Issac (Gail) Mullins, Percy (Madeline) Mullins, David Mullins, William B. (Helen) Mullins Jr., Larry Thomas (Amanda) Mullins, Rickey (Kay) Mullins, Rodney (Beth) Mullins and Paul (Rhonda) Mullins; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 38 nieces and nephews; a special aunt, Shirley Price; and a cousin, Diann Waggoner.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland by Minister Mike White. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 30, 2013, at the funeral home.
