Ketrina Cornett

Ketrina Lynn Cornett, 46, was called home by the Lord and freed from her pain and suffering on Friday morning, Oct. 29, 2010.

She was born Sept. 7, 1964, in Pikeville, Ky., a daughter of Harry B. and Beulah Kaiser Perkins of Catlettsburg.

Ketrina was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She leaves behind four precious children, Jason Perry Kazee, Kyle Riley Cornett, Beau Braidan Boyd and Ashton Rachelle Cornett; a precious granddaughter, Jayla Parris Kazee; two sisters, Tara Stewart (Billy) and Natasha Thompson of Ashland; two nieces, Brooke Stewart and Kadaynce Thompson; and three nephews, Trey Stewart, Isaac Stewart and Kalob Thompson.

She attended Boyd County High School and Century College, where she pursued a degree in accounting. She was a former employee of the J.D. Kiser Corp. and worked as an accountant for 10 years.

Ketrina was known for her thoughtfulness and caring ways. She loved her children more than life itself and enjoyed being a wonderful mother. Her time here on Earth was very short, but she is not gone, for she will linger on forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010. Uncle Bill Pounders will bring a message of comfort. Final rest in will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
