Larry Howell

NORFOLK, VA - Larry Joe Howell, 68, of Norfolk, Va., formerly of Catlettsburg, passed away Dec. 24, 2010, at his home.

Mr. Howell was born June 23, 1942, in Kenova, W.Va., a son of the late Wilford Grant and Josephine Enyart Howell. Larry was a 1960 graduate of Thomas R. Brown High School and owner of Econo - Cleaners in Costa Mesa, Calif. He loved to play golf, was an avid sports fan and loved to watch grandson Nicolas swim and granddaughter Briana cheer.

Surviving are Larry's loving wife of 47 years, Kaye Jordan Howell; two sons, Paul Howell and his wife, Dana, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Shae Howell and his wife, Flor, of Garden Grove, Calif.; a grandson, Nicolas Howell; a granddaughter, Briana Howell; two sisters, Vicky Enyart of Catlettsburg and Carol Sizemore of Flatwoods, Ky.; a brother-in-law, Fred Jordan and his wife, Doris; and a nephew, Christopher Jordan and his wife, Catherine.

Funeral services for Larry Howell will be at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 30, 2010, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. Pastor Mike Smith will offer a comforting message. Final rest will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
