Lindsay T. Hall Sr. (1939-2009)
Lindsay Thomas Hall Sr., 69, of Catlettsburg, Ky., died Thursday morning in Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Hall was born Aug. 3, 1939, in Catlettsburg, a son of the late Price and Thurza Wellman Hall.
He was of the Baptist faith and retired from AK Steel Corp. after 37 years service. He was an avid deer hunter, loved to fish and had a passion for cooking big meals.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife, Carol Marshall Hall; two brothers, Robert and James Hall; and a sister, Betty Ruth Mullins.
Lindsay is survived by a son, Lindsay T. Hall Jr. and wife Tammie of Ashland, Ky.; a granddaughter, Lindsay Marie and husband Joe Harman of Ashland; two sisters, Louise Spears and Ann Williams, both of Ashland; a brother, Price Hall of Ashland; and a special friend, Dorothy Sallie.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland by the Rev. Charles Stewart. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Kitchen, 1337 Winchester Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.
