Margaret Dove

June 28, 1939 — August 17, 2009

Margo Dove - 1939 - 2009
Ina Margaret "Margo" Johnson Dove, 70, of Ashland, awoke to a new day in her Savior's arms, passing early Monday morning, Aug. 17, 2009, from Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility in Ashland.
Mrs. Dove was born June 28, 1939, in Catlettsburg, Ky., a daughter of the late Orville Ernest and Clotine Dale Johnson. She was a member of Oakland Avenue Baptist Church.
Margo's gift to others was her childlike sweet spirit - quick to laugh, slow to anger. She adored her family and loved life's every minute! Content in her being, Margo has championed the hearts and minds of so many - just as her rewards are now.
Surviving is her husband, Carl Samuel Dove. Their home was blessed with four children, Eddie (Debbie) Dove, Sandy (Steve) Collier and Jennifer Kirk, all of Ashland, and Chris Dove of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Dixie Robinson, Justin Robinson, Dr. Audrey (Curran) Scarlata, Natasha Kirk, Cody Ritchie, Allie Bester, Alyson Salyers and Christopher Dove; and six great-grandchildren, Lacy Robinson, Trent Robinson, Nicholas Scarlata, Brandon Scarlata, Mariah Kirk and Xavier Kirk. Also surviving are a brother, Mike (Sharon) Johnson of Lexington; and three sisters, Ernestine (Jack) Baldridge of Rock Island, Ill., Joyce (Charles) Frasher of Louisa, Ky., and Sandy (Mike) Neal of Catlettsburg.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg. A message of comfort and inspiration will be offered by Pastor Mike Blankenship. Committal will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, Ky.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
