Richard Roberson - 1954-2008
Richard "Rick" Roberson, 53, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Garrison, passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
He was born in Gallion, Ohio, on July 20, 1954, a son of the late Zilla and Lillian Hamilton-Roberson. He was an avid hunter and sports fan, as well as a coach for his daughter's fast pitch softball team. Rick was a general contractor by trade and owned TIC, a commercial general contracting company in Tampa.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Bayless-Roberson; two daughters, Jennifer Ann Roberson of Tampa and Stacy Rae Roberson of Garrison; three sons, Shane D. Bayless of Spring Hill, Fla., Jack Eugene Jenkins and Ronald Lee Jenkins II, both of Tampa; one brother, Randy Roberson of Ashland; two sisters, Harriett Price and Betty Conley, both of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Ronald Jenkins, Gabriella Roberson and Anthony James II, as well as one grand-dog, "Nikki," all of whom will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be conducted at noon Monday at Ratliff Family Funeral Home, 1220 Greenup Avenue in Ashland. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 11 a.m. until the service time on Monday.
