Richard R. Slone, 82, of Ohio, died Aug. 5, 2010.
He was a teacher with the Ohio School System for 30 yeas and a member of the Ohio Teachers Union, the Democratic National Organization and The Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Fabricant; a sister, Anita Ester of Ashland; and brothers Charles of Lexington, Lawrence of Ashland and Kenneth Slone of Coral Gables, Fla.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at The Temple, 5101 U.S. 42, Louisville.
Visitation will be after noon Sunday at The Temple.
Expressions of sympathy may be sent to Rabbi Gaylia R. Rooks and Rabbi Joe Rooks Rapport Discretionary Funds at The Temple.
