NANCY - Samuel T. Stevens, 94, of Nancy, formerly of Ashland, died Wednesday July 31, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Ashland, the son of the late Sam and Fannie Mae Jordan Stevens.
He was retired from Armco Steel and a WWII Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Davidson Stevens.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan VanOver and her husband, James, of Somerset; a son, Timothy Stevens of Nancy; a sister, Ethel Lamb of Coal Grove, Ky.; one grandchild, Lisa Hall; and two great-grandchildren, Alaina Hall and Braden Hall.
The funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by the Rev. John Noe. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
