Virginia Walters Lemaster departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 12, 2012.
She was born Sept. 18, 1920, on Georges Creek, to the late German and Mary Magdeline Hager Walters.
She was a loyal and devoted Christian, wife, mother and homemaker. She was a charter member of East Fork United Baptist Church.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Edward Lemaster; a daughter, Yvonne Patterson, two brothers, Frank and John Walters; and five sisters, Louise Chandler, Lucille Walters, Nannie Burgess, Maggie Preston and Patsy Blair.
She is survived by a brother, German Walters Jr. of Louisa, and a sister, Georgia Branham of Ashland. Also surviving are a daughter, Germaine (Paul) Reliford of Westwood; a son, Terry (Brenda) LeMaster of Somerset; a son-in-law, Cecil Patterson of Holly Pond, Ala.; six grandchildren, Chris (Donna) Reliford of Blythewood, S.C., Glenn Reliford of Morrow, Ohio, Jeff (Delsie) LeMaster of Somerset, Jennifer (Zach) Whipple of Atlanta, Jerald LeMaster of Pikeville and Cecil (Jennifer) Patterson Jr. of Eva, Ala. She also leaves behind nine loving great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Elder David Trimble. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
