Warren Meade

December 29, 1942 — February 24, 2011

Warren Meade, 68, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

Mr. Meade was born Dec. 29, 1942 in Boyd County, son of the late John W. and Ollie J. Hatten Meade. He was a self employed skilled laborer for 57 years, loved tinkering with cars, fishing, hunting, and attended 39th Street Baptist Church.

Warren leaves behind one sister, Marya��"Granny" Clark of Ashland and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family, all whom will miss their "Uncle Warren." Also surviving is a sister-in-law Michelle Meade and brother-in-law Charles Penix.

Preceeding in death are four brothers, Jack Meade, Paul Meade, Charles Meade, and Milt Meade; five sisters, Edith Wiley, Frances Meade, Janet Marriott, Patty Penix and Betty Jo Meade.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. Bishop, Henry Montgomery, to deliver words of comfort while Floyd Penix brings a message in music. Final rest in Golden Oaks Cemetery. Those Serving as casket bearers are Kenneth L. Clark, Rick Lewis, Charles Withrow, Brian Withrow, David Withrow and Eddy Meade.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Flowers will be welcome, although donations may be made to Community Hospice Care Center, 1538 Central Avenue, Ashland, Ky. 41101.
